Sivarathri day. On Mahanavami day during Navarathri festival, continuous music concerts are conducted. All devotees, under the supervision of an acharya sit in the Yagna Mandapam and perform Vidyarambham. The acharyas initiate children into the world of letters. The Madala Pooja which lasts for 41 days is conducted by the devotees on a grand scale. Makara Samkrama day is celebrated as a special festival day. The whole of Karkidaka month which is Ramayana month is being celebrated by chanting Ramayana in the Yagnasala of the specially built mantap.
