Special poojas

Mangalya Pooja : On first Sunday of every Malayalam month from 9:30 am Mangalya Pooja is being conducted to remove obstacles for marriage, to have good matrimonial alliance, to have happy and prolonged marital bliss as also to have good progeny. This very sacred and very rare pooja attracts countless devotees all over Kerala and offers bliss to them and is not known to be performed in any other temples in India even. Navagraha pooja , Uma Maheswara pooja and Mangala sooktharchana are conducted in the names and stars of the devotees who are participating in Mangalya pooja.

Simultaneously, in separate enclosure (mandapam) under the direction of an acharya after a small 

discourse, the devotees performs Samooha Manthra Japam (group chanting) with Swayamvara Manthram 108 times followed by Samooharchana (group self traditional lamp pooja) chanting and invoking 133 names of Swayamvara Parvathy (Thrathriyam Shathothara Shatha Namavali). This pooja is so formulated and conducted as per the teachings of the scriptures that when a pooja is performed for devotees, if the same manthra is chanted with concentration and devotion, the devotees will get much more blessings than otherwise.


Mrythyunjaya Pooja : This very rare and sacred pooja is conducted on last Sunday of every Malayalam month from 9:30 am. This is beneficial toward off chronic sickness and evil, to get long life, to escape from accidents, as also toward off from sins accumulated during the past births and to avoid Dasa Sandhi Dosham. While Maha Mruthwinjaya Havanam is conducted in the names of stars of the participants, the devotees chant in group the great Maha Mruthwinjaya manthram 108 times inside a separated madapam under the direction of  an acharya with a small discourse. 

This is also formulated on the message of the scriptures that when a pooja or vazhipad is being performed, those devotees chant the same manthra and worship in group, since group can achieve more than single.
Saasthru Pooja: This is a special pooja conducted to ward off the ill effects of sani at a temple where Lord Sastha's presence is being felt since ages. Many devotee conducts this pooja and there by get rid of the ill effects of Sani.
Vishnu Pooja (Thiruvona Pooja): This special pooja is conducted on all Thiruvonam days. Vidya Gopala mantra archana is conducted for betterment in eduction to children.
Aiswarya Pooja : This special pooja is conducted on all full moon days at the Devi's feet. The devotees will be blessed.
Thalichukoda : For serpents. This pooja is conducted on Aayillyam days toward off evils of Rahu.
Pradosha Pooja : This is a very important pooja as far as Siva temples are concerned and is conducted on pradosha day evening ( after 5:30 pm). This can be booked in advance and is conducted only in one person's name on a given day. Poverty alleviation, higher I.Q and bliss are the important benefits accured to the devotee. The devotee will be given holy water and vellanivedyam from the temple after the pooja. During pradosha time Sree Parvathy is made to sit on the diamond throne Lord Shiva dances in ecstasy, Brahma, Vishnu and all devis make the stage truly exalted. During the time there is presence of all the devathas. Because of this, those who conduct the pradosha pooja and those who observe pradosha Vratha without food will get blessings from all devathas besides getting the blessings of Maheswara and Parasakthi. This very special pooja is booked in advance by the devotees.
Saaraswatha Prayoga: This special pooja is meant for the student fraternity and is not conducted in any other temple. In order to improve memory power, grasping power, poetic acumen, mastery over all arts, a mantra which is prescribed by Mahadeva himself is repeatedly chanted 1008 times along with Lalitha ashtotharam and Lalithathrishathi archanas to appease parasakthi with the help of specially prepared yantras. This Pooja is held continuously for forty five days.
